Janine is a seasoned leader in retail and shopper marketing, media, and monetization with over 20 years of experience across Canada and the U.S. Currently Managing Director at Criteo Canada, Janine continues to shape the future of retail media by fostering strategic partnerships, innovating the RMN landscape and driving market expansion.

Prior to taking on this role, Janine was Client President, Retail at dentsu and the industry lead for Retail, CPG and QSR at Merkle. Her proudest moment at dentsu was starting New Stream Media, where she worked with a talented cross-functional team to design and manage retail media networks for leading retailers such as Target, CVS, The Home Depot, Albertsons, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and Nordstrom. She has successfully built and scaled monetization businesses for retailers from $20 million to over $500 million annually, helping retailers bridge the gap between traditional shopper marketing and digital media.

Janine started her career in Canada working on store concepts and new brand launches for Loblaw Companies Limited, Sleeman Brewery, and Sobey’s; she then led a shopper marketing agency working with brands such as Coca-Cola and Kraft. After moving to the US and joining Merkle she led digital transformation projects for Target, Abercrombie & Fitch, Sherwin Williams and Kimberly-Clark, to name a few. The thread that connects all of these experiences is a love for retail and shopping and the innovation that comes from such a dynamic industry.
