Pitch Tank Competition

The InStore Ignite Pitch Tank will spotlight bold new ideas and technologies shaping the future of in-store marketing. Select emerging solution providers will have the chance to present their innovations to a panel of industry judges and a live audience of brand and retail leaders. A winner will be selected at the conclusion of InStore Ignite.

The Instore Ignite Pitch Tank spotlights new, emerging, and innovative solution providers with fresh and exciting ideas for improving in-store execution, shopper engagement, and retail performance.

Your company must be young, incorporated for fewer than five years, and not funded by a technology company. Proof of eligibility required. 

Solutions must align with one or more of the following areas:

  • In-store marketing and merchandising
  • Shopper experience and engagement
  • Retail media and digital in-store technology
  • Store operations and execution
  • Retail analytics and measurement
  • Commerce, loyalty, or activation tools used in physical retail

A maximum of eight companies will be chosen by a panel of judges to pitch at InStore Ignite on Nov. 12. 

Companies must submit a complete application. There is a $295 entry fee, which is waived if you are a P2PI member. All submissions will be reviewed, and selections will be made by the judges.

If you're a P2PI member who is selected to pitch at InStore Ignite, you must pay a $999 participation fee per person (max two people) to confirm your participation. This fee includes:

  • One ticket to the InStore Ignite conference 
  • Chance to pitch to top marketing judges
  • Company spotlight in editorial coverage of Pitch Tank

If you're not a P2PI member and you're selected to pitch at InStore Ignite, the participant fee is $4,300. This includes:

  • One year of Path to Purchase Institute Emerging Membership
  • One conference pass to attend InStore Ignite
  • Chance to pitch to top marketing judges
  • Company spotlight in editorial coverage of Pitch Tank

Selected companies will pitch in front of a live audience and board of judges at InStore Ignite on Nov. 12. They will have 4-5 minutes to pitch, and the judges will have 3-4 minutes to ask questions. Each session is a max of 8 minutes, and timing will be strictly enforced. Videos are slides are permitted. 

Judges will evaluate the pitches and announce one winner that day. Please note there is no virtual option, and you must attend the conference to participate. 

Semi-finalists chosen to proceed to the Pitch Tank will be provided with a participant pack with full details.

The winner will receive a credit toward a thought leadership session at a 2027 P2PI event (valued at $30,000). The winning company must be a P2PI member in good standing in 2027 to redeem the prize. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged. 

Details about the winner and all finalists will be shared in an article on P2PI.com, promoted in our newsletters and shared on social media. The winner will also be spotlighted in a separate dedicated interview.

The InStore Ignite Pitch Tank is designed to help innovative solution providers reach the audience that matters most to them: CPG brands and retailers focused on in-store performance.
